Fate Casters Shorts Publisher Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 5, 2026

Fate Casters Shorts Publisher is a private, internal tool used by Fate Casters to prepare, schedule, and publish Fate Casters video content. It is not offered as a public service. This policy explains how the tool handles information from Google and YouTube.

YOUTUBE API SERVICES AND INFORMATION ACCESSED

The tool uses Google OAuth and YouTube API Services. It requests the youtube.force-ssl scope, which Google describes broadly as permission to view and manage YouTube account content. In our current workflow, the tool uses that authorization only to:

• identify and verify the exact Fate Casters YouTube channel;

• read video IDs, titles, descriptions, privacy settings, processing status, and scheduling status;

• upload human-reviewed videos initially as private when needed; and

• apply human-approved titles, descriptions, privacy settings, and scheduled publication times.

The current workflow does not use this permission to delete videos, manage ratings or comments, or read or write captions.

HOW INFORMATION IS USED AND SHARED

Information is used only to operate the Fate Casters channel and its human-approved publishing queue. It is not used for advertising or profiling, and it is not sold, rented, or shared with unrelated third parties. Information is sent to Google and YouTube only as needed to perform the requested API actions. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements:

STORAGE AND SECURITY

OAuth client credentials and refresh tokens are stored in the macOS Keychain. Protected local publishing records may include approved copy, schedules, file hashes, YouTube video IDs, and publication receipts. Short-lived access tokens are held only in memory and sent to Google APIs over HTTPS. The workflow verifies the exact Fate Casters channel before making changes and is protected by local device access controls.

RETENTION, DELETION, AND REVOCATION

Authorization is retained until it is revoked or no longer needed. Protected publishing records are retained for publishing reliability and auditing until the owner deletes them. If access is revoked or deletion is requested, relevant OAuth credentials and Google-derived user data will be deleted promptly and no later than 7 days, except where a longer period is required by law.

This internal publishing tool is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy as the publishing workflow changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
